As most Kenyans use mpesa, paying the KPLC electricity bill via Mpesa is very convenient. If you are not sure about the process, this article is for you.

Thanks to KPLC Mpesa Paybill numbers, customers can clear their pending bills in a few minutes.

As you know, one can either buy KPLC tokens (prepaid) or pay the bill postpaid. Using the Mpesa KPLC paybill numbers, both prepaid and postpaid customers can make payments easily.

Buying KPLC Tokens from Mpesa

If you prefer prepaid payments to KPLC, you need to buy tokens towards your KPLC account. You need to enter the token number towards your account for prepaid payment.

  • Enter your Meter number
  • Enter the amount you wish to pay
  • Enter the pin number
  • Double-check details and press OK
  • The transaction confirmation will be sent via SMS
  • The prepaid token will be sent via SMS
