The government is committed to providing loans to small & medium firms at single-digit interest rates without collateral. Special attention will be given to small businesses and ventures run by women.

The beneficiaries will use the Hustlers Fund loan to upgrade their businesses. Applicants must not think that the government will give them money for free. Like any other loan, applicants must ensure they fulfil the eligibility. Once they get the funds, they must repay the loan with the specified Hustler Fund interest rate.

Co-op Bank supports the rollout of the Sh50 billion hustler fund, which will offer small businesses loans on flexible terms.

• The Hustler fund officially launched on 30th November 2022
• All existing Kenyans blacklisted by mobile money lenders will be removed from the list before 30th November 2022

• Applicant should be a permanent Kenyan Resident
• Age of the applicant should be at least 18 years
• Good Conduct Certificate
• Applicant must belong to the Low-income bracket group
• Applicants must be a part of any credit societies and investment groups.
• Working Sim & Mobile money accounts (at least 90 days old)
