The office of the Registrar of Political parties, ORPP, is hiring. Per a February 2023 job notification, 29 vacancies will be filled. Interested and eligible applicants shall fill in the application form and apply before the last date.

ORPP Recruitment 2023 Requirements

As you can see in the table above, there are various open vacancies. However, before applying, you should be aware of the requirements for each post.

MANAGER, FINANCE➡️ Served in the grade of Senior Finance/ Budget Officer or Senior Accountant for a minimum period of three (3) years or in a comparable and relevant position in the public or private sector for an accumulative period of at least nine (9) years;
➡️ Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following fields: Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Commerce or a financial related discipline from a recognized institution;
➡️ Masters’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA), Economics, Finance, Commerce or equivalent qualification from a recognized university;

➡️ Passed Part III of the Certified Public Accountants (CPA) Examination or its recognized equivalent;
➡️ Membership with the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) in good standing;
➡️ Attended Strategic Leadership Development Programme course lasting not less than Six (6) from a
recognized institution;
➡️ Met the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution; and
➡️ Demonstrated professional competence in financial management as reflected in work performance
and results.
ADMINISTRATION OFFICER, GRADE ORPP 6➡️ Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following disciplines: Social Sciences, Administration, Management or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
➡️ Proficiency in computer application skills; and
➡️ Met the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010.
OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR – GRADE ORPP 6➡️ Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: Secretarial Studies or Business and Office Management from a recognized institution;
OR
➡️ Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences and Diploma in Secretarial Studies from a recognized institution;
OR
Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences and Business Education Single and Group Certificates (BES and GC) Stages I, II and III from the Kenya National Examinations Council in the following subjects:
a) Shorthand III (minimum 100 w.p.m.);
b) Typewriting III (50 w.p.m.)
c) Certificate in Computerized Document Processing III;
d) Office Management III/Office Administration and Management III
e) Business English III/Communication II
f) Secretarial Duties II
g) Office Practice II
h) Commerce II

➡️ Proficiency in Computer Applications
➡️ Met the requirements of Chapter six of the Constitution of Kenya.
ACCOUNTANT – GRADE ORPP 6➡️ Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following disciplines: Commerce (Accounting or Finance option), Business Administration, Business Management, Finance or Accounting from a recognized institution;
➡️ Part III of the Certified Public Accountants (CPA) Examination;
➡️ Proficiency in Computer Applications; and
➡️ Met the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution.
REGISTRATION OFFICER (FIELD SERVICES) – GRADE ORPP 6➡️ Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following disciplines: Laws and advocate of the High Court of Kenya, Public Administration, Political Science, Social Science or its equivalent from a recognized institution;
➡️ Met the requirements of Chapter six of the Constitution and
➡️ Proficiency in Computer Application Skills.
COMPLIANCE OFFICER (FIELD SERVICES) – GRADE ORPP 6➡️ Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following disciplines: law and be an advocate of the High Court of Kenya, Public Administration, Political Science, Social Science or its equivalent from a recognized institution;
➡️ Met the requirements of Chapter six of the Constitution and
➡️ Proficiency in Computer Application Skills.
RECORDS MANAGEMENT OFFICER, GRADE ORPP 6➡️ Bachelor’s Degree in Information Management Science, Records and Information Technology, Archives and Records Management or its equivalent qualification from a recognized University;
➡️ Proficiency in Computer Application Skills;
➡️ Met the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.
PARTNERSHIP AND LINKAGES OFFICER, GRADE ORPP 6➡️ Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Communication, International Relations, Political Science, or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
➡️ Knowledge in Project Management;
➡️ Proficiency in Computer Applications; and
➡️ Met the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution.
CLERICAL OFFICER, GRADE ORPP 8➡️ Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education mean grade C- or its equivalent from a recognized
institution; and
➡️ Certificate in Computer Application Skills from a recognized institution.
DRIVER, GRADE ORPP 9➡️ Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean grade D Plus or its equivalent
qualifications from a recognized institution;
➡️ Valid Driving License free from any current endorsement(s) for classes of vehicle (s) the officer is
required to drive;
➡️ Passed Occupational Test Grade III for Drivers;
➡️ Defensive Driving Certificate from the Automobile Association (AA) of Kenya or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
➡️ Suitability Test for Drivers Grade III conducted by the Ministry of Transport;
➡️ Valid Certificate of Good Conduct from the National Police Service;
➡️ Certificate in First Aid Course lasting at least one (1) week from St. Johns Ambulance or any other recognized institution.
SUPPORT STAFF – GRADE ORPP 10➡️ Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education Mean Grade D or any other equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
➡️ Certificate in Computer Application Skills from a recognized institution; and
➡️ Met the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya.
