Kicosca Games 2023 Intercounty Sports Event, Check Dates & Venues

The 10th season of Kicosca games will be hosted by Meru county. Yes, it is official now. The official twitter handle of Meru county recently confirmed this. All interested and eligible sportspersons from any county can participate in the Kicosca Games 2023.

The Meru county is hoping that all 40 counties will participate in this year’s Kicosca Games.

9 seasons have already passed and 10th Season of Kicosca games is here. The Meru county is hosting this year. All county governments are should encourage talent to take part in this event. This year’s theme is “Celebrating Devolution through Sports and Culture”.

Which Sports are Included?

A total of 20 sports disciplines and cultural activities will take place. These include

Athletics (including mixed relay and categories for people living with disabilities), football, handball, basketball, netball, squash, badminton, tug of war, scrabble, netball, chess, volleyball, pool, ajua, golf, table tennis and darts. Cultural dance and choir competition will also be part of it.

Kicosca Games 2023 Dates

The event will take place from August 20th 2023 onwards and will continue till August 26th. A detailed chart will soon be revealed. Every interested player who wants to be part of ensure must complete the participation formalities.

Venues for 10th Edition of Kicosca Games

This six day event will take place at multiple venues. These are:

Kinoru Stadium, Meru TTC, Meru Polytechnic, KEMU University, Meru University and Meru School. The Kinoru Stadium will be the main venue. Other fields within the municipality will also be utilized.

How to Participate in Kicosca Games

As you are aware this is an intercounty event. So, all counties will participate in the event. If you are a sportsperson or would like to participate, you should approach your county office.
