The public service commission has announced internship opportunities.As per Public Service Internship 2023 program, 1000 vacancies for graduates in ICT and ICT Integration in Education are open for grabs.

The State Department for Early Learning and Basic Education will deploy selected interns to schools to support the Digital Literacy Programme (DLP). The interns will also be responsible for supporting E-Learning and content development, providing class support and training of Primary School teachers, and integrating ICT in teaching, learning, and assessment.

Public Service Commission Internship 2023

This Public Service internship is on contract basis for twelve months and is non-renewable. Selected interns get stipend and awarded a certificate on successful completion of the program. Interested applicants can apply online through the Public Service Commission’s job portal by the deadline which is August 9, 2022.

PSC Jobs Internship : Eligibility Requirements

• The candidate must have graduated not earlier than 2018.
• The Candidate must have a degree in Education with specialization in ICT or a degree in ICT, or a Diploma in ICT or ICT Integration in Education from a recognized institution or its equivalent.
• The candidate must possess knowledge in networking and infrastructure, applications development, information security, and project management.
• The candidate must be able to integrate ICT with Education in terms of E-Learning and content development.

Duties and Responsibilities of Public Service Interns

Public Service Interns are appointed and deployed to schools to support the Digital Literacy Programme (DLP). They have various duties and responsibilities, including providing class support, integrating ICT in teaching, and supporting safe and ethical use of technology in learning. Here are the all duties and responsibilities :

✅ E-Learning and content development according to work schemes.

✅ Supporting and training primary school teachers on digital literacy devices.

✅ Implementing Digital Learning.

✅ Innovating digital learning in schools.

✅ Helping students use technology safely and ethically.

✅ Helping teachers use ICT to teach, learn, and assess.

✅ Helping school employees create critical rules and procedures.

✅First-line ICT support and maintenance in schools.

Duration

The duration of www.publicservice.go.ke internship is 12 months. Kindly not that this PSC internship job is non-renewable.

Stipend

The State Department will pay the interns a stipend at a rate determined by the Public Service Commission.
